Q: iCloud.com Photos stuck "Preparing your library…" for more than two weeks!

I am seeing the same thing. My library has about 16k photos and it's been stuck for about 2 weeks. 

I was wondering if I opted out of iCloud Photo beta in Photos on OS X it would reset whatever is stuck and I could re-load them. The initial upload took several days last time and wanted to avoid that if I could.

Same here. And, I'm now seeing problems in the last week on my iPhone. Thinking about nuking the iCloud Photos beta and starting over.

Haven't been stuck for two weeks, have about 8GB of photos/videos. Seemingly working great on my devices, just can't get to the web interface. #BOO

Restart your Mac

I have a large photo library.  Took some time to finish the upload.  Then tried turning on the beta on my iOS devices.  Quickly ran out of space.  Tried to shut off.  Couldn't get photos off iOS device without reinstalling iOS from scratch, as the iOS devices thought they were on camera roll.  Then shut everything off on all devices.  iCloud is still "preparing" photos.

FAIL!

Next time select 'Optimize Device Storage'

Is that a fail?

Does not work with optimized images.

What doesn't work, can you please use subjects in your sentences.

To clarify, on my iOS devices, the option to optimize images was selected.

Got the same problem ... now over two weeks of Preparing your library… so I contacted support today and they have escalated it.

Not yet ... the ticket is still open.

I have 7000 pictures in my Library.  My Windows Laptop has been in this mode for 3 days but it locks up after one hour.

It is awful that they don't show the progress or allow a CANCEL.  I thought it was Windows but maybe not..

Not having a progress indicator is a big software engineering No No but Windows violate many practices.. I have no idea when this will finish..
