Are you receiving the HDCP error message when you play all of your HD videos on your MacBook Air, or is this happening to only a few titles?
If the videos were purchased from the iTunes Store, you could check to see if they are still available in the store, and redownload them to see if the issue persists.

Downloading again doesn't seem to work. I deleted all my films and then just re-downloaded Pixar's 5 minute short film Boundin', but the error message popped up as soon as I pressed play.
The only thing I can think of is that last couple of times I ran Disk Utility a new error appeared that I haven't seen before. I have added a link to a screenshot of the Disk Utility report and it refers to "displaypolicyd should be should be 0, group is 244". It says it has been fixed, but the error still persists each time. This may be a red herring, but I can't help thinking that it is something to do with the problem.
