    I am not sure what kind of map you are asking about?

     

    iPhoto '11 has built-in maps that will show, when you select photos and then open the Places view. You will see pins for the locations of the photos.  Do you want to create a photo map, or want a different kind of map?

    If you want just a map: convert it into jpg. import in iPhoto.

    If you want to have your map of places, as is shown in leonie's post:  show this map on your screen and make a screen Grab with Shift+CMD+A. Set the preferences of Grab to jpg. Import in iPhoto.
