Q: Why doesn't our home sharing password work?

When I am at my computer and try to share my wife's music library - it asks for a password - but doesn't recognize the password. I have changed the password on my wife's computer (which was used to set up the family share) and then come to my computer and re-entered the password and it still doesn't work.

    Hi Douglas,

     

    It sounds like you are using the same Home Sharing password on both computers, but you are unable to use your wife's library over the network. From what you described it sounds like library sharing may be enabled and have a password setup for it. This screenshot will illustrate where in the preferences to check for this:
