Q: Retina Displays, iAd Producer, HTML5 Canvas

I have used iAd Producer to make an iBooks Author widget, selecting the option of iBooks Retina (2x).

Where I have a problem is with the HTML 'dynamic content' area that I have written to using the HTML5 canvas element.

The content looks fine on my (non-Retina) Mac but has a slight blur on a Retina iPad.

Whilst the content is not useable , does anyone in the community know how to get things looking sharp? I've read the documentation for Safari relating to HTML 5 Canvas but that has not helped in this instance.

I would be really grateful for any assistance the community can offer.

I have not solved my problem but I have found out a little more.

Any iAds produced using the iBooks Retina (2x) mode automatically 'think' they are on a Retina display, even if this is not the case (with a slight modification, I managed to make the script given in the Safari guide work in iAds). The backingstore pixel ratio comes out as 2, even when the iAd is viewed on a non-Retina display.

The problem doesn't seem to be one with a need to adjust the backingstore ratio.

The iAds are useable but there is a blur when compared with native elements from iAds or with images provided @2x.

I'm starting to reach the conclusion that the HTML dynamic content element of iAds is to be avoided if there are alternatives.
