Q: Siri turns on by itself

I have a wierd thing happen to my iPhone.  On my way to work at the same point almost everyday, my radio start crackling from my phone and then Siri activates without me doing anything.  Doers anyone else have this issue with siri just turning on by itself?  My phone is not in my pocket just on my console.  I do have it connected to bluetooth in the car.

YES. My phone is up to date. This happens when it is on lock mode just sitting around without being touched. It just happens. So the theory of disabling the raise feature has been debunked. This is obviously a sirious bug (pun intended). I'm so glad it is not an evil spirit.

    Fix it!

my husband and I both have iPhones, mine 6 his 5 both on iOS 8+ And both have bursts of Siri without even touching the phones. I think it's a glitch in the IOS since it happens to so many people with out even touching them And in different situations. I wish apple would fix it and the wifi not staying connected. Sometimes I have to refresh my wifi or turn off my phone multiple times a day.

Does it happen only when the phone is plugged in? If so go to Settings/General/Siri and turn off Allow "Hey Siri"

Same problem with mine (6 plus with 8.1.2).  Only happens when I'm using the Sirius Radio app and after upgrade to 8.1.2.  I disabled Siri and now Voice Control comes on randomly in it's place...

Go on the phone make sure to go into General>Siri> and make sure that "Hey Siri" is off. When it is on Siri will activate when it hears something sounding like "Hey Siri"

In General I Only have Siri on - not the hey Siri or raise to talk. It happens when it's quiet - no noise- when we're asleep, plugged in. Not plugged in. Headset no headset. It's unexplainable.

Disabling "Hey, Siri" won't work for me. I'm on an iPhone6, running iOS 8.2, and I've had "Hey, Siri" disconnected since day one. Yet, out of the blue, it started turning on today (with the expected "What the---" response from me. There's no conversation or music in the area, the phone's been sitting for hours, and it is not plugged in. Sigh. Foiled on all fronts.

I went ahead and power cycled the phone. It seems fine at the moment, but time will tell. I use Siri all the time and would like to keep doing so, but I will disable it if this keeps up. This soooooo needs to be fixed.

Mine turns on in the middle of the night and starts talking when everyone is asleep and there isn't even any background noise. Last night at about 3:25am it came on saying "That's a good question." When I looked at the screen, it had the question "Why?" that Siri was responding to.  Where in the world did this come from.  I even have my Siri set to where I have to push and hold the home button for it to even work. So it's weird.

Turning off Siri seems to have worked for me, however while turning her off I noticed an option to turn her on by voice "Hey Siri" Greedy Corporate Bastages would make those settings so sensitive a squeak would start her up, not to mention a television or radio

I Have the same problem for 2 days, and because Siri kept activating while I was trying to sleep it wasn't just annoying but creepy too! I didn't have enabled the "Hey Siri" option neither, So I decided to turn off Siri... Siri didn't came back since, but "Voice Control" took over its place and doing the same **** thing: turning on and off by itself every 5-10 minutes!!! Is there anyone else with this?
