Apr 1, 2015 11:28 PM in response to Charles Gardnerby King_Penguin,What have you tried to see if it gets the film to play e.g. closing iTunes/Videos app on the computer/device that you rented it on and rebooting/doing a soft-reset of it ?
If it still doesn't play then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
Or you can try contacting iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Apr 1, 2015 11:33 PM in response to King_Penguinby Charles Gardner,I rented the movie using iTunes on an AppleTV. It has now been more than 24 hours of waiting - and if I try to restart the movie it says it will automatically be deleted. Any other ideas?

Looks like it's time to give my money to comcast and watch all the new movies there. If Apple would not always assume that it's "my" equipment that is causing the problem then I might put up with no easy way to get a resolution to what should be a simple problem to fix. My internet connections is consistently 30 Mps so that isn't the problem.
