Apr 2, 2015 11:14 AM in response to mmabsiqueiraby EZ Jim,If restarting Mac does not fix it, see How to Troubleshoot iSight - Apple Support.
Be sure to test more than one Apple camera app in more than one user account.
Do NOT use the Guest Account for this testing.
(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

Apr 8, 2015 7:39 PM in response to EZ Jimby kenmort,This problem drove me crazy, but then I found the solution posted here (http://osxdaily.com/2013/12/27/fix-there-is-no-connected-camera-error-mac/) and was amazed with how easy it was. It fixed my MBA. The camera cam right back to life.
