Q: Is anyone else unable to redeem an iTunes card code due to redemption being temorarily unavailable?

I've not been able to redeem an iTunes card code due to code redemption being temporarily unavailable.  Have sent message but have only received the auto reply from Apple and nothing further.  48 hours is long past.  Very frustrated with this process.  How long is temporary?  Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Hi Jason L,

     

    Thank you for the suggestions.  Unfortunately, the issue is a little more unique than info at those links can assist with.  It's the code redemption in iTunes store that is not working not the store completely.  I tried to buy a song on Friday - almost a week ago - and could not due to this 'temporary' issue.  Does not matter what path I try to go thru to redeem the code, I get the same message every time. I tried redeeming a code I had used previously and I got the same result!  I thought I could possibly redeem a code thru the app on my phone but that doesn't work either.  It asks for my apple ID repeatedly so I don't know if the redemption process fails there.  Got a message from a senior advisor this morning stating he has experienced this issue before and understands my frustration but he works Saturday to Wednesday.  It's Thursday!  I still can't redeem my code and am extremely unhappy about having to wait even longer.  The song I really want is only available thru iTunes so........    Thank goodness for Spotify!  Although not on my iPod,  I can at least listen to it while I wait for who knows how long for iTunes technology to be rectified before I can buy it.  This is a classic case of solid proof why going old school and buying a physical CD is way more dependable than relying on iTunes when the service *****.  I would do that if it was a choice and use this iTunes card for an ice scraper...At least that way it would be useful.  Sorry for the rant but I am REALLY UNHAPPY about this issue.
