    I'm not too sure what you're trying to do with the Time Capsule setup, but if you just want to learn how to do an initial setup, then follow the directions in the article below.

    This is one of those documents that make me wonder..

     

    It was updated March 2015.. gosh.. a few weeks ago.

     

    And yet it is littered with out of date and therefore wrong info.

     

    People are buying AC model now.. and have been for more than 12months.. this is for N wireless models.. not current.

     

    The airport utility no longer comes with the TC.. Apple computers have not had optical drives for how long? The airport utility has been built in since Snow Leopard or even earlier??

     

    The AC models require 6.3 utility. Not 5.3.. it will not even work on the earlier utility.

     

    Where are the instructions for using v6 utility?? And AC version TC or AE..

     

    And when the document was updated surely they could have sorted some of that out.

    However it is sorely lacking in screenshots from the utility.

     

    I cannot find one useful document from Apple about how to use the v6 utility.

    If you need help with the setup of a TC.. just give us what your network setup is.. modem type and how you hope to use the TC in the network.

     

    We can give you a series of screenshots to help with the setup but we need plenty of info to help us.. screenshots of where you ran into trouble are especially helpful.
