Q: How can I put files on my iPhone6?
Hello...
I want to put some files of various types -- Word, PDF, Excel, etc -- on my phone so I can access them even when I am not connected (i.e., no phone service and no wifi).
It was very easy on my previous phone, Android Galaxy III. I just plugged it into the USB port of my machine (Windows) and the phone showed up as a drive upon which I could create folders and to which I could move files.
Is this possible with my iPhone?
NOTE: I do NOT want to have access the files by phone or wifi...I need to access them completely offline...and these are not music or video files to be accessed through iTunes.
Thanks so much.

The iPhone has not user accessible file structure. You need to put the files in an app. There are tons of PDF readers out there, including Apple's own iBooks. You can use File Sharing through iTunes (either Mac or Windows) or email files to yourself.

Microsoft offers iOS versions of Word and Excel.
