Q: Bootcamp ISO Problem (Not reading)
Guys, I need serious help.
I have a macbook air Late April 2014.
I have been trying to install Windows 8 Pro onto it for a while now.
I meet all the system requirements as far as storage and graphics go.
I also bought Microsoft Windows 8 From Tek-Micro For 80 Dollars USD.
When I insert a correct flash drive, (This is not a problem with Flash I hope) There is no problems.
The bootcamp asks me to provide two things in order to start the process,
1: a Flash drive
2: An Iso Of the windows.
I have the Iso and it is even recognized as an ISO Disk Image under the "Kind" In my finder.
When I try to start that process with the ISO I get the error message:
Boot Camp only supports Windows 7 or later installation on this platform. Please use an ISO file for Windows 7 or later installation.
Can anyone fix this problem?
MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

May I ask what that is,
Also the file is 3.58 GB could that be corrupted?
The MD5 and SHA1 are checksums that are used to verify the integrity of files. I have seen downloaded ISOs which are corrupt and cause problems during installation, for example asking for drivers, stalling while copying files, etc.
On my Mac, I have the 32-bit and 64-bit W8.1 ISOs (created from the DVDs via Disk Utility using Boot Camp: Creating an ISO image from a Windows installation DVD - Apple Support ).
This is what I have for the MD5/SHA1 checksums (the highlighted commands are executed in OSX Terminal).
openssl md5 Windows8.1-64bit.cdr
MD5(Windows8.1-64bit.cdr)= f104b78019e86e74b149ae5e510f7be9
openssl md5 Windows8.1-32bit.cdr
MD5(Windows8.1-32bit.cdr)= 7dd36fea0d004acfedbdb3a5521ef5ff
openssl sha1 Windows8.1-64bit.cdr
SHA1(Windows8.1-64bit.cdr)= bc2f7ff5c91c9f0f8676e39e703085c65072139b
openssl sha1 Windows8.1-32bit.cdr
SHA1(Windows8.1-32bit.cdr)= 802cfcd3a411d99c097ea7e747f0b6697f9bdac4
