Q: Changing Apple ID - Currently sharing one, but need to split into two

My wife and I currently share the same Apple ID;  however, she has her iPhone synced with the iTunes on her laptop and I have my iPhone synced with my iTunes on my separate laptop.  The problem, of course, is that if we both use the cloud, all our info gets shared/synced together, which we don't want to do.

Is there a way for her to keep her current ID (so she doesn't have to change anything), but for me to change mine and keep access to all my apps, music, etc., in my iTunes library and on my iPhone?  My understanding (which may be incorrect), is that if I change my Apple ID associated with my iPhone and iTunes (and all associated apps, music, etc.), that I may not get access to those any longer.  Also, if I change the Apple ID associated with my iPhone/iTunes, I still want my wife to keep the same one we've been using.

Any tips or solutions appreciated?  Apologies if this has been covered many times in the past.

Your contacts can accumulate on an apple mobile device from different areas. You can be syncing contacts via and email account (gmail, yahoo, hotmail) AND you can be getting your contacts from an icloud contacts list.

You will need to verify that when adding email accounts to your mobile device that you are NOT syncing contacts from ALL accounts but just the account you wish to use as your default contact list account.

(go into settings>mail contacts and calendars to check to see which of your email accounts are listed as syncing contacts to your device.

    Good luck.

II'm not sure how comfortable you are with doing this butmy famialy (myself my mother and my brother) are in the famialy sharing service from Apple, it's esay, basically all you have to do is settings-- iCloud-- Famialy sharing and you would have to set it up, then go to your kids phones and go to the same settings and hit join, and do what the instructions say, that way they will be able to stay whereber they are to get a new app bit they will have to ask permission from you and it will just come to your phone, same with music, and why I said I'm not sure how comfortable you are with it is because I don't know if it will save any previous apps but in almost positive it will... I hope this helps!!!
