Q: iPhone not detecting sim phone number correctly
I am an iPhone user in Venezuela using a Movistar SIM Card.
The country codes for mobile numbers here are "58 + Wireless Provider Code + Number" for example: "+58 414 111 2233".
After I updated to iOS 8.1 on iPhone 5S and the phone restarted on the Settings > Phone > My Number the number appears without the 58, so following the previous example it shows "+41 41 112 23 3", because of this iMessage and FaceTime get the same number when they both activate themselves and of course if you try to force to use any of them with this numbers option it will fail since its not a correct phone number based on the international country telephone codes. My father is having the same issue with his iPhone 5. I've already tried using my US (T-Mobile) and Colombian sim cards and it works perfectly, the phone numbers appear on their correct format. Of course i've tried deactivating/activating several time, logging out and back in the iCloud user (which I read in a forum) and nothing has worked so far. I was hoping that with iOS 8.1.1 it might have been corrected but nothing so far, thats why I decided to report this bug to see if I could get some help or inside on what it may be happening. I'll try to test it using another mobile provided here in Venezuela to see if the problem appears using them.
