Q: Deactivating old iPhone for children to play with

I would like to give my old iPhone 4S to my toddler to play with, but I am afraid that he will accidentally make an emergency call. Is there a way to deactivate the FCC emergency call feature so that the phone will act more like an iPod Touch? Are there any other tips for "child-proofing" an old iPhone?

Remove the sim from the iPhone. Do not lose the sim as you will need it if
you decide to update the iOS version or restore the iPhone.

You can make a single application 'locked', it could limit their ability to do other tasks if you desire.
