If it is possible after that you import the Disney songs in iTunes.

From what I understand is that the device will show up in iTunes but it will not allow you to synchronize media over to the device even after you reset the device. When you say you reset the device, do you mean you restored the device in iTunes? What error message you are getting when attempting to synchronize media?

When I transitioned from a Windows based computer to a MAC, I had to completely reformat my Ipod video. This meant I lost everything on it, thankfully I was able to recover most from the windows computer and move it to the mac through other means. But if your friend had a MAC and yours is a windows computer, or vice versa, this could be your issue.
