Q: how do I transfer photos from my i phone to my computer?

I want to transfer photos that I have taken and right now are stored in my albums. How do I move them to my computer? Will that remove them from my phone or can I do a copy so I have them on both ?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2
