Q: "You are not a member of the Administrator group" message

I just got a new 32GB iPod touch. Whenever I try and download an app I get this message "You are not a member of the Administrator group"

I have looked through iTunes to try and find a setting to switch but I have not been able to find one.

Thanks

This is the same problem I have. I created an account without an email address somehow--was that allowed at some point but then discontinued?--about 2 years ago, and since then have been playing a game on it. Now I want to be able to make purchases in the game, but I can't because it's not associated with an email address--I assume that's why I get the "You are not a member of the administrative group" error when I try to log in on the apple website. To make matters worse, when I created the account, I filled out the bio information with random numbers and answers because, foolishly, I thought I would never need to use the account for anything else. I called Apple support to ask them what I could do, but since they couldn't verify the account for me (because I couldn't name the answer to the security question that I'd randomly answered back in the day), they wouldn't add an email address to it.

However, that problem is probably unique to me, so I would advise you to call Apple support and let them know about your error, and then ask them to associate your GC account (aka Apple ID without an email address) with an email address. If you can answer the security question you set up the account with, they'll do it for you. That way you'll be able to use it for other things

lllaass - this makes no sense when it pops up on an iPhone that is not connected to a windows computer.
