Q: why do the iphone 6 photos look terrible

I have a new Iphone 6 ATT  IOS 8.3

The photos all look like there is some kind of painterly effect applied ...the photos are all soft and not usable.

This happens weather Zoomed or not.

absolutely terrible  any help this is not acceptable.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

    Can you post an example?

     

    I assume you've checked there's no grease/dirt on the lens?

     

    Does the problem show only in the actual photos or when you're viewing live on-screen as well when about to take them and taking them?

     

    I assume no filter is applied? (Three circles in lower right of Camera app display)

    NO filters on and much worse when zoomed in...Thanks these have been downsized ....to fit on the forum.

    The first one was zoomed all the way out I understand digital /optical zooms..My 4s looked so much better then these period .
