Jan 20, 2014 7:15 PM in response to Carlos_gonz98by KiltedTim,#1: There is no such thing as an unlock code for an iPhone.
#2: Sprint iPhones can only be unlocked for use on non U.S. carriers. It can not be used on any US carrier other than Sprint. If you don't intend to use Sprint, try to return it and get your money back or sell it to someone who can use it and buy a phone you can use, preferably from a legitimate source.

Apr 12, 2015 12:14 AM in response to KiltedTimby coffeeloverwhocannottakecoffee,There is such a code called MSL code, announced in Virgin Mobile USA site.
http://www.virginmobileusa.com/unlock/
Since they are a subsidiary of Sprint, I assume Sprint also gives out the MLS code to long time customers upon request.
But they won't tell you how to unlock your phone by yourself. They say you have to ask the other carrier to do it.
(Unfortunately to me, a major carrier in Argentina where I am staying is not willing to do it for me.)

iPhoneMSL code does not work on iPhone. Only the wireless provider
to which an iPhone is locked can unlock it, and the process
does not involve MSL code.

Then why is Sprint and its subsidiaries are giving out MSL code to the customers that meet certain conditions?
Are they just pretending to be a good guy?
