Apr 8, 2015 6:00 PM in response to Linc Davisby David Cassidy,Tried that. Sadly it didn't work. Hardware test revealed a problem with Bluetooth hardware (reference code NDL001). Called Apple...taking it to the Genius Bar tomorrow because it looks like the hardware is fried.
Lovely.

Apr 8, 2015 6:23 PM in response to David Cassidyby Rezberlin,I have the same problem. Have had it since Yosemite! Was hoping that 10.10.3 would fix it, but it didn't. My iPhone still won't connect to my MBP via Bluetooth.
How did you find out that your hardware is damaged? Is there an app or system software, that I can use to check my system?
Thanks! -
Apr 8, 2015 6:46 PM in response to Rezberlinby David Cassidy,I ran the Apple Hardware Test and it gave me that result. on my machine, I rebooted and pressed D on the keyboard as it booted. The hardware test started automatically. Different Macs have different procedures. I can't find the link on the device I'm typing on but a Google search should see you right!

Apr 8, 2015 9:30 PM in response to Linc Davisby Chris R.,After upgrade, my magic mouse was sluggish and apple BT keyboard was disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. After zapping the PRAM, things seem to be back to normal.

Apr 9, 2015 7:32 AM in response to Chris R.by Rezberlin,Thanks for your help, Chris and David.
Luckily, the diagnostics tool couldn't find any errors. My system seems to be fine.
Sadly, however, my iPhone still won't connect via Bluetooth to my late 2013 MBP....
Any other clues or help is greatly appreciated!

Apr 9, 2015 7:55 AM in response to David Cassidyby dseidler,I know that your situation is a bit different with the hardware complication, but I reset the System Management Controller (SMC) and this worked for me. The directions can be found here: Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Apple Support. Hope this helps someone!

Apr 11, 2015 7:47 AM in response to dseidlerby bheliker,I'm having a similar issue. Upgraded my iMac5k to 10.10.3, and my magic mouse stopped scrolling (same issue as this guy: Magic Mouse not scrolling after OS X update ). Going into system preferences, the mouse pane is significantly reduced, as though it isn't a Magic Mouse connected but some generic mouse. I checked bluetooth and the iMac claims "Bluetooth is not available". Obviously this isn't true as I'm typing on a bluetooth keyboard and the magic mouse still works for pointing and clicking, just not scrolling...
I have reset the SMC and attempted to reset the PRAM and enter diag mode but it doesn't seem like the bluetooth is working on bootup so the mac doesn't respond to keypress events during bootup process. I can't get either mouse or keyboard to respond for about 15 seconds after the mac is fully booted.
Any ideas?

Apr 12, 2015 7:09 AM in response to bhelikerby nofocus8,So I update to 10.10.3 and get Bluetooth unavailable and my Magic mouse will not scroll. I reset the SMC and PRAM and even reinstalled the OS. Now I'm rolling back to 10.10.2. Of course my Mac Mini couldn't find my Lightning connected Time Machine but could see the USB 2.0 one after unplugging and replugging it in. So I'm finally at a point where I can choose a backup and I scroll to the backup, wait I CAN SCROLL! So I cancel the restore, wait for the **** machine to come back, no scroll. It's 10.10.3. **** you Apple. In 10 or so hours I'll know if the roll back fixes the Bluetooth problems. I'll update. It's a mid 2011 Mac Mini.

Apr 12, 2015 4:33 PM in response to nofocus8by nofocus8,Yeah, that did the trick. Scrolling is back in 10.10.2. Dear Apple, get it together.

Apr 14, 2015 4:15 PM in response to nofocus8by bheliker,Keyboard and mouse have now stopped responding completely. Nothing over Bluetooth works. I don't want to roll back to 10.10.2... Has anyone else heard of this bug? Heard any progress?
