    Hi,

I need to repair my left Halo each time I connect them to my iPhone 5 (8.2)...

    I tried everything:

    -Disable handoff

    -restart iPhone

    -change battery

    [...]

Same thing on my iPad air 2 (8.1.2).

My right Halo doesn't have any problem, my iPhone 5 recognize him at each connection.

       Anyone has an idea ?

    Thanks,

After updating to 8.2 I had to do the following. In order 1. Forget this device, 2. Cut the phone off, 3. Restart the phone, 4. Open and close the battery trays on the Halo, 5. Re-Pair using Settings, General, Accessibility, Hearing Aids. Perfect since then.

I had the same exact issue after installing 8.2 I did not have the issue with the 8.2 beta, so something changed. The suggestion that SantafeNM offered did fix the issue however.

Thanks SantafeNM, it worked. But only if I stay on my iPhone 5.

From the time I connect my Halo to my iPad, the problem come back.

Same things if I stay on my iPad, it work well. But when I connect them on my iPhone, the problem come back again.

I send an email to Starkey, and they told my to make an firmware update (by my Hearing-aid specialist).

So we will see if this firmware update will fix it. (I'll post here)

NyKeD. - your Halos won't impact your Internet speed. There is likely something else going on.

Are you connecting to the Internet by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?

Yes I'm connected to the internet by Wi-Fi as usually.

    On the first screenshot:

    -Connected to my Wi-Fi

-Connected to my Halos Starkey by Bluetooth since a few minutes

--> low speed internet, I can't watch any YouTube video, it's so lagging

On the second screenshot: (2min later, i've just disabled Bluetooth)

    -Connected to my Wi-Fi

    -Bluetooth disabled

    --> max internet speed

But this problem appears only sometimes, so yeah, maybe it's something else (like the AWDL)

Anyway, this problem has nothing to do here, sorry.

    Thanks guys,

I have found that other bluetooth devices in the area tend to interfere with the hearing aids staying connected to your iphone. I have an iPad and use its own bluetooth to connect to a physical keyboard. Unfortunately, its aggressive bluetooth outreach tends to attempt to take over my hearing aids. Often this results in one hearing aid connected and the other disconnected. Disabling bluetooth on my ipad solves the issue.

The problem, more than likely, is not Bluetooth, but rather the "handoff" function. Make sure Handoff is disabled on all of your Apple devices.

I'm having the same problem. I've had handoff turned off from the beginning and still have problems. If BT is on on my iPad when I connect my hearing aids, one or the other will not stream. turn BT off and the aid streams fine. i can turn BT on once things are operating and it seems to stay correct unless I try to watch a  video on my ipad then it tries to steal my hearing aids from another device and stops the video. After several times telling it I don't want it to do that, it stops, but it is a pain. I quit trying to pair my aids to the iPad because I had to forget them on my iPhone to do so and then pari them with the iPad which has been anything but smooth. Instead I turn the volume all the way up on the ipad and increase the volume of the HAs on my iphone. Then I can hear.

Again it is not handoff, but some feature within os8 or the strakey BT. There is no way to tell the HAs or the OS, "THis is what I want to do, now do it!"

Since upgrading to iOS8.3, I am having a prob with triple click not working. It looks like it is opening but I only get one aid and nothing else. I thought at first it was just on lock screen but then with further testing found it happens on all. I have restarted the phone numerous times because this upgrade seems as glitchy as any. ¡Que Pena!

    This should fix that.

In order: 1. In →Settings, →General, →Accessibility, →Hearing Aids. "Forget this device", 2. Cut the phone off, 3. Restart the phone, 4. Open and close the battery trays on the Halos, 5. Re-Pair using →Settings, →General, →Accessibility, →Hearing Aids→"Re-Pair".

You all have 8.3 installed now? I haven't been invited to install it yet. Canada always seems slower to receive goodies. I do have a puzzle though to ask about. When I got these Halos my audi told me never to update until Starkey told me it was OK.  I have never heard from Starkey on this subject.  General question for members of this stream: Did you get that advice? I am seeing my audi on Wednesday to have her  add "Car" (thanks OldGnome) and I will ask her what happened to the supposed Starkey involvement.  I like the Halos but they sure require a lot more attention than my old Widex!!

I just looked back at some older queries and see that I already mentioned that I got 8.2 later than you USians! and I already complained about Starkey's disengagement! Sigh! and Sorry.

I don't wait for Starkey's official OK. Then again, I don't use the iPhone features supporting my Halos much at all. 8.3     has been working fine for me on my 5S 32Gb.

I did not do all this. I did restart phone several times. 8.3 is as glitchy as 8.2 and 8.1. When installing it seemed to cut off my wifi access for both the iphone and ipad. It took two passes of trying to install to get it done on each. The discussions are lit up with problems. I hoe your suggestion solves the problem.
