Mar 12, 2013 5:08 PM in response to OnurHunterby RajaRani,★HelpfulWith Apple not permitting access to its data base, now this information is not available for free, as "Carrier lock status" is being done manually.

Dec 5, 2014 7:07 AM in response to cuongnq1by KiltedTim,No 3rd party has legitimate access to this information at all.
That said, if trephine originated in Japan, then it's locked. Plain and simple. The Japanese carriers do not offer unlocking at all. That phone can not be legitimately unlocked.

Dec 5, 2014 7:20 AM in response to KiltedTimby Templeton Peck,Hey Tim...
I was curious about this regarding my new iphone so I entered it into the DB at imeidata.net, and low and behold all the information it came back with is 100% correct. Now I'm not endorsing the site's use, but it seems it may not be so difficult after all for third part sites to display correct info. Just sayin'

Yes, actually they just collect info from apple and some other place then display your iphone info. May be they collect your iphone info and other people to make something like dictionary.

Dec 5, 2014 7:31 AM in response to Templeton Peckby KiltedTim,I'm betting they get their information from Apple's database the same way the criminals manage to register illegal unlocks with the Apple database... There are people working at the authorized carriers who have access to the information and sell it to them.
Difficult? No. Legitimate? Also no.

Apr 12, 2015 12:54 PM in response to quanghoangvuby imobl, iphoneimei has no access to Apple's database. Any information that site provides
is a guess at best. Site is frequently riddled with drive-by installs of malware on
Windows machines - enter at your own risk. Any information you provide is also
at risk.

Jul 8, 2015 3:28 AM in response to imoblby iOS_user001,the truth is that hundreds of sites DO exist that display 100% correct inofrmation on IMEI unlock status.
No employee can instantly check an IMEI and respond like the websites do
the ONLY way this is possible is if apples servers have a vulnerability that has been eploited,,,
