Q: Where can I purchase a Windows 8.1 download for my new Macbook Pro 15 inch Retina?

I want to install Windows 8.1 on my new Macbook Pro i7 intel core 2.2 GHz VIA Bootcamp Application. I want to purchase a download Windows 8.1 because I do not have a DVD slot. I want a legal official download from official Microsoft/Windows/Apple/Bootcamps legal websites please. No cracked versions or free anything I can purchase it. But I have a macbook pro without a DVD slot so I need a download please. Can anyone give me a link to where I can download a Windows 8.1 official full version to purchase on Microsoft. I have found this -- http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Windows-8.1/productID.288401 200?icid=L3_Nav_Store_windows81_011415 -- Will this download be compatible with my mac for bootcamp? Microsoft store will provide a download manager (.exe) using your Product Key, which needs to be run on a PC. This manager will then let you download an ISO image to a USB and/or DVD.

Yep, that's what I found too. Obviously we can't run a .exe on a Mac, which is why I am looking for a downloadable .iso file similar to the ones you can get for Linux. I guess there isn't one.

The solution is probably to buy or borrow an external DVD drive, or another Mac on which you can enable drive sharing over the LAN, after buying the physical DVD. My wife's laptop is the last computer DVD drive we have in the house (pity we can't co-opt a games console as an external drive) so I'll try that...
