Apr 13, 2015 2:40 PM in response to wego4by Terence Devlin,★HelpfulIf you delete your iPhoto Library then no, you will not be able to access your Photos through iPhoto.
But you will via Photos.
Events are no longer a feature, they've been replaced by 'Moments'. The Folder iPhoto Events contains albums that were automatically created from your iPhoto Events.
Things are different. You'll need to rethink things if you're going to use the app.

Apr 13, 2015 2:45 PM in response to Terence Devlinby wego4,Thanks...I'm still in shock over the changes. Maybe I'll calm down when I really understand it. But I had some expectation that Apple would build an app that took off from IPhoto without completely changing the basics in terms of photo management. I understand now that "albums" can replace events, but I don't understand "moments". Can they be renamed to a specific event? How are the "moments" determined?

Apr 13, 2015 3:37 PM in response to wego4by Terence Devlin,In 2008 Apple created Events from what had been Camera Rolls in iPhoto, Moments are decided by the date and location of a photo. NO, the cannot be renamed.

I am still in trouble in changing to Photos, however, the Moments will be incovenient for me.
Because my camera does not have GPS and its photos have no location data.
Of course, my photos with iPhone are OK, but those with above camera will get lost in Moments.
