Sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with maintaining a connection to your Bluetooth speaker. To get you started with troubleshooting, take a look at the article below and try to remove the device and setup the pairing process again. You may need to reset the network settings to clear out the profile.

Apr 8, 2015 10:11 AM in response to norm123by DavidAbCdn,THanks Norm, unfortunately this did not help. I can get the speaker to connect for about 5 seconds, then the iPad drops the connection. The speaker does work with Bluetooth using my desktop running XP.
I'M beginning to believe the undocumented " detect non-Apple device" code is kicking in. Ha. I also experience similar issues getting my Blackberry to connect to the iPad. Guess I won't be getting a Christmas card from Apple this year.

Apr 14, 2015 12:42 PM in response to norm123by DavidAbCdn,KLipsch has advised there is a documented bug in iOS 8.2 and again in iOS 8.3 (12D508) causing bluetooth to cut out after about 5 seconds. It's a matter of getting this bug elevated for the next iOS update. Until then I will use the mini-plug connection. All my other devices connect and perform with the Klipsch speaker.

Jun 1, 2016 2:30 PM in response to DavidAbCdnby overst33r,I'm having the same problem with a KMC-3 and my iphone. 5 It's really frustrating. The only 'workaround' I have found so far is to start playing the song before turning on the speaker. Then it seems to work (until you pause it, then you are SOL). As long as it is playing before the connection and stays playing it appears to work. They need to release a fix for this!
