This link takes you to Apple’s printer support page. The Lexmark Z710 is not listed as supported on OS X. A visit to Lexmark’s printer support page also shows the last supported driver was for OS X 10.4. The Z710 must be a very old printer because I noticed it isn’t supported on Windows 7 and later either. Gutenprint or some other open source printer driver software may work but who knows. Here’s a link to that...

Apr 13, 2015 2:43 PM in response to lkruppby William Tomcanin,Thanks for the prompt response -- I'll give Gutenprint a try, but it looks like I'll have to buy a new printer.
Thanks again for the response.

Apr 14, 2015 3:44 PM in response to William Tomcaninby William Tomcanin,Well, nothing seems to work, so I'm going to have to purchase a new printer. I understand that I should try to get one that is AirPrint compatible -- it shouldn't require any software driver, and I should be able to print from wireless iOS devices with the appropriate apps installed.
Can anyone recommend an inkjet with such capability for around $50!
thanks!
