Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that after performing the resent Mac OS X update, you are having issues with your email not sending/receiving as you would expect. If you have not already, I would suggest reading over and working through the attached article to help resolve this issue.

Jan 21, 2016 6:05 AM in response to joe_7399by George Woodrow Iii,The issue I have is not with e-mail in general. That seems to be working fine. However, I have a friend who uses AOL, and he told me that after the recent update, any mail I send to him is messed up -- tiny font and word wrap broken, even when sent as plain text.
Mail sent to other people looks just fine.
I have a second computer also running the current version of OS X, and e-mail sent to my AOL friend from that computer does not show the problem. I can see no way to reset mail on *this* computer.
I looked to see if there was a preferences file or an info-plist to edit or trash, but nothing appeared to be relevant to the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
