Q: How do I stop deleted movies automatically downloading when I am trying to download another movies

I have an iPad Air and have number of movies I have purchased through iTunes.  In order to save space on my iPad I only have a couple on my iPad at a time. When I purchase a new movies I often select download later ... But later when I go to download the movies the ipad starts downloading half a dozen or so other movies that I have previously purchased, watched and in some cases deleted from my iPad ... some of them may still be installed  be on the iPad (tries to download a second copy) ... and it is the same handful of movies every time. I have no other apple device other then a first gen iPad that is offline. This automatic downloading is chewing through my internet data. How can I make it stop? Please help as I am really beginning to get annoyed ...

iPad Air, iOS 8.3

I have already turned off the automatic download - it has been turned off for weeks now. iPad had been restarted also - makes no difference. This just stops the movie from downloading automatically when you purchase it (gives the download now or later option) but doesn't stop my issue.

Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for assistance.

Are the videos still ticked to download under iTunes?

I had the same problem, removed from device but when connected to iTunes they downloaded again - I just removed the tick.

They don't normally appear in the download screen ... until I attempt to download another movie. Then they just start appearing. If you click edit - a normal movie download has a circle that appears on the left hand side that allows you to select and delete ... these movies don't have that option so you need to find the movie in you list (under movies) and select the download cloud symbol again to stop it downloading ...you may need to do this a number of times before it stops for a while ... or until you try to download a movie then it starts all over again.

i have logged out of my itunes account. restarted the iPad, removed all movies, restarted the iPad, logged back into my iTunes account and restarted my iPad .... but as soon as I tried to download a single movies ... the other movies started appearing in the downloads again.
