Q: Pages app after iOS 8.3 update

hey,

after iOS 8.3 update, documents in Pages app on my iPad 3 (Retina) appear as if blurred, not "Retina" anymore (low-res like iPad 1). Anybody's experiencing the same? any ideas?

A fix. Reset All Settings fixed the Pages blurry text problem on both devices.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

A hard reboot made things blurry again on my iPad Air 2 but not on my iPhone 6. A soft reboot left everything perfect on both devices. Complaining to each other and trying to help each other is what these forums are about. But complaining to Apple on these forups is useless. Please read my post about making a bug report. That is really affective in terms of dealing with Apple as opposed to dealing with and helping each other.

"Reset all settings" worked for me (my iPad 3) as well. And btw today my iPad switched off because of empty battery, but after charging Pages is allright.

To be continued! Without any action on my part, I have found the alert on screen saying "No sim card installed" (which is an indication that a spontaneous reboot took place?) and when I opened the Pages app — it's blurred again. I'm not going to reset all setting this time again. It appears to be a serious bug. Now it's Apple's turn.

So a new update to Pages app arrived today, and it turns out that Apple has chosen to ignore the feedback from its users: the bug that causes documents to appear blurry has not been solved. It is very unfortunate. "Reset all settings" does help for a time being, but for me, it only lasted for half a day. It appears that this bug has to do with some kind of incompatibility between older and newer devices. I use Pages on my iPad 3 (Retina).

I Think i found the problem. Did you by any chance have the option to speak screen turned on? If so, try turning it off, closing settings and pages, and reopenin it. This seemed to be the problem on my iPad mini retina. Turning off the speak screen option solved it for me.

Hey, you are a genius! Turning off "Speak Screen" option (Settings->Accessibility->Speech->Speak Screen) worked for me immediately (iPad 3rd gen). Thank you!

TThis didn't fix proble. So annoying. Hope Apple fixes this bug soon. Hurts my eyes !!
