Q: Amber light flashing cannot see it in airport utility
Everything was fine, I was printing to a wi-fi printer in my wife's office from my office. I have a 4th gen Time Capsule / Base Station and also the more flat 3rd generation base station time capsule. When I went to the printer, I noticed that the amber light on the 4th gen was blinking. So I unplugged the Cable Modem power, un plugged the power to the time capsule / base station, then rebooted like I have done before when we have had less than optimal service. The cable modem cycled through its power up and then I plugged in the 4th Gen and normally the modem responds with the link light flashing and then I get a green on the basestation. However this time, nothing. So I did it again.
Now after lots of research I have done all three resets multiple times, pressing and holding the reset button and plugging it back in, multiple times. I can not download an older version because I am running Yosemite. When I open the Airport utility it shows nothing there.. Internet is orange, nothing below it, its not showing up in the Airport Utility. I have tried different power cords, outlets, and even took it to my computer and it still can't even see it.
It just sits there on the desk like a big white monoly
