Q: HELP

Trying to install the os but it tells me that it cannot be installed on the Mac HD because time machine is set up to backup there, but it gives me no other options????

Ok so i turned the time machine backup off. it still wont allow me to install?

You need to follow the article's instructions as well as turning the backup off.

Use Time Machine to back it up onto a drive other than the one which holds the OS. When done, you can just delete the backups from the first drive.

Use a hard drive; it should be least twice the size of the data you'll be backing up.
