Q: How Photo manages data

Hi there,

I've migrated my library from iPhoto to the new Photo as a separated library from the iCloud Photo Library.

I've tried to understand the logic behind the new Photo library saving importend photo as hard link, but I guess I've not fully undestood it yet (sorry!).

Now, what I need to understand is this:

yesterday evening I've deleted the new Photo Library (the one imported from iPhoto, size: about 125 GBs) while keeping the original iPhoto Library (size: about 120 GBs). The content of the new library has not been touched (no new photos added, no deleted, no modification, etc.) so have I missed some photos if I open the original iPhoto Library from iPhoto application? I'm a little bit scared to have lost my photos from the original iPhoto after deleting the new Photo Library.

Thank you for you advice.
