Q: Large iPhoto Library conversion to Photos for OS X seems stalled?
I have a large iPhoto library I am trying to open for the first time in Photos. This library holds about 46,000 photos. This iPhoto library is stored on my Time Capsule drive due to size. It has worked just fine in iPhoto for a couple years. I used the Option on opening Photos to select the library last night and selected Open per the instructions I have seen. It started processing and appears to have run all night (about 12 hours now) and is sitting at 10% complete and has been sitting there since I looked at it first thing this morning. How can I tell if it is still Photos is still processing? Does anyone know what timeframe one should expect for a library creation of this size? Should I force quit and try again or just let it process? Not a big Mac expert so would appreciate any help.
When I look in Activity Monitor I see the Photo Library Migration Utility running as seen here.
I am running a MacBook Pro with the following specs...

Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
