Apr 20, 2015 1:13 PM in response to WendaSby Old Toad,The iWeb app hasn't been updated in about 6 years and was dropped by Apple 3 years ago. It's just not compatible with the those features in Yosemite.
You can still use iPhoto if up previously had a version of iPhoto o 9.x or later. Go to the App Store and under Purchases find iPhoto 9.6.1 and download. That will open the iPhoto library and you'll be able to access it from within iWeb 3.0.
At this stage you should consider migrating over to a website application that is supported and has all of the new features that iWeb doesn't. One that many migrated to because it is so like iWeb in it's interface and features is EverWeb.

Oct 5, 2015 7:25 PM in response to WendaSby blimylimey,Yes, it's a pain losing the connection with the Photos library (it still recognizes my old iPhotos library that I can't open any other way!).
What I do now is export the photos then drag them into the gallery. It works, just a couple of extra steps.

Oct 6, 2015 9:06 AM in response to blimylimeyby Old Toad,What you can do is create a folder (I call mine Web/iDVD Photos on the hard drive to store photos to be used with iWeb and iDVD projects. Then drag that folder into the Media/Photos pane in iWeb and iDVD. Then any photos placed into that folder will be available from within iWeb/iDVD to add to the project:

This totally helped me! Best solution I've seen so far! No need to revert to iPhoto, and the photos I use for iWeb are now consolidated.
