Q: where are my videos in Photos?

I can't find my videos from my iCloud library on Photos on my Mac mini. Where are they?  I've enabled iCloud in preferences on the mac as well as on all my devices.

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

iCloud Photo Library can only sync items that are stored inside the Photos Library. If you imported the videos as referenced, they cannot sync to iCloud Photo Library.

Which photo and video formats does iCloud Photo Library support?

iCloud Photo Library automatically stores all of your photos and videos that you add from an iOS or Mac device in their original formats, including JPEG, RAW, PNG, GIF, TIFF, and MP4.

They are videos taken from my iPhone 5.  If i log onto iCloud from my Windows PC, the videos are there in a separate folder. When I go to my actual Apple MacMini, open Photos, the videos are not there. All my pictures are there, not the videos. Quite frustrating at this point.

I think the different menus are one from iPhoto, and one from the new Photos app.

Anyway, in the new Photos app I cannot find my video's from my iPhone either, even when they do show up in the webinterface on https://www.icloud.com/#photos...

I'm having the same problem.  I've been pulling my hair out trying to understand photos.  So far not very intuitive.

I have the same issue. I had a bunch of videos on my iPhone from the summer and when I plugged it in to my macbook, it asked to import the videos, which I did. So I could see a tab on the sidebar saying "Videos" that had all of my videos imported. Then when I started having some problems with my phone, I took it to Apple and they replaced it for me, then wiped the memory on my old one of course. And now, none of my videos are on my computer anymore. The sidebar tab saying "Videos" is gone too. I can't find them anywhere. It's honestly ridiculous. Photos app has been nothing but trouble ever since they launched it. I just want to be able to import my stuff on my physical hard drive and not worry about it. I don't need all of my photos AND VIDEOS on the cloud and have them take up 50-60 GB of space so I have to purchase extra iCloud storage. It's all literally added strategies for Apple to make more money. That's why I also turned off iCloud Photo Library and just kept on "My Photo Stream". Not very user friendly at all. This is the 2nd big problem I've had with it (the first was when I turned on iCloud Photo Library and it lost all of my older photos) and it's honestly way too annoying for me to deal with. I mean what is the whole point of plugging in my iPhone to my computer and clicking "Import" if it's not going to keep the videos on the physical hard drive of my computer? It's so ridiculously stupid, counterintuitive, and just plain annoying. Definitely going to be complaining to Apple for this. And don't even get me started on Apple Music. Everytime I turn it on, it deletes all of my already existing playlists so I have to turn it off and restore an old backup of my iTunes file. I don't have time to waste on this bs. I thought the whole point of having a bunch of Apple devices is to make my life easier by managing these things more easily and save me time. Instead it's wasting more of my time by having to take my phone, my macbook, my iPad constantly to the Apple store or calling support (and getting something replaced and waste time setting it up again) and costs me more money down the run because I have to purchase additional cloud storage smh so mad

Take it back to Apple and have them restore the videos they lost - not sure why you are posting here for other users who can do nothing at al aboug the problem you had with your Phone and that  you had at the Apple Store

dude what are you going on about? I have the samme issue at the others!?!?

Though, I found a way to sort it out. You have to connect the iPhone to the MacBook via a USB and go to "Photos" and press on the "import" page and there all your videos are :-)
