Apr 21, 2015 8:05 AM in response to ShadeOGreenby stupidbomb,I have not personally used the Roland System 1 synth. However, I can try to assist you if you are still having issues.
First I have a few questions.
Are you attempting to use the device as a midi keyboard within a DAW or are you using it as a standalone device?
- If using with in a DAW : did you install 64bit Audio Units or VST3 : if so were they installed by installation software or manually dragged to the correct location HD/Library/Audio/Plugins? > did you check the permissions here?
- If acting as a standalone unit is the keyboard selected as the input device within system preferences/sound?
- Have you attempted setting up the unit as an aggregate device? instructions are here: Audio MIDI Setup: How to test for MIDI function - Apple Support

Apr 22, 2015 10:38 AM in response to stupidbombby ShadeOGreen,I have MIDI working fine in my DAW.
I just can't get any audio to play through USB, which is a feature of the System 1.
System 1 is set as my input device (driver has been installed) within system preferences/sound, I play the keys, and adjust the synths volume knob, the input level meter responds accordingly in the preferences window, showing that the Mac is hearing the output of the synth. No sound is heard.
All other Audio/system sounds/itunes/etc. can be heard.

Mar 4, 2016 1:58 AM in response to ShadeOGreenby paulowoody,I had this problem too, but I created an aggregate device and selected the Built-In output device first and the SYSTEM-1 second, so that it became output channels 1 and 2, with the SYSTEM-1 using channels 3 and 4 for output, and 1 and 2 for input. This was quickly picked-up in GarageBand where I just used the aggregate device for input (e.g. like a guitar/amp). It was all working fine then. Hope this helps.
