Apr 15, 2015 10:29 AM in response to Darylfromcoquitlamby Darylfromcoquitlam,OMG...so now I need to go out and purchase a micro USB cable and because my computer is an OLD MacBook I will need to purchase a new laptop, all because I changed the battery in my remote. I will take it into the local Apple store and hopefully they will restore it. Rethinking purchasing new Apple products!!

Apr 22, 2015 8:52 PM in response to Darylfromcoquitlamby vazandrew,There are a lot of devices that use micro usb so you may have one lying around, purchase for cheap or of course have Apple restore it. Your Macbook would have a USB port. It has nothing to do with the remote, if you had recently tried to update then it didn't apply properly (network related) or something else within the environment caused it to go into recovery mode.
