Apr 23, 2015 6:52 PM in response to pworkerby Bob Timmons,A blinking amber light is the AirPort's way of sending a message to you.
The next time that the amber light is blinking, open AirPort Utility on your Mac and click on the AirPort icon
A red badge with a number on it might appear. If it does, click on it for more information
Or, when you click on the AirPort icon, you might see an Update button in the smaller window that appears. If so, click the button to update the firmware on your AirPort.
Or, you might see a small amber dot next to Status. Click on the amber dot for more information.
