Q: how can I set the time on my screen saver

when my screen saver pops on it only stays on for a few minutes. How do I set the time on my screen saver?

    What do you mean by 'it only stays on for a few minutes'? What happens at that point? does it go back to your desktop? or something else?

     

    The only thing I can think of that remotely sounds like your problem is that your display is going to sleep - so it's not so much that the screen saver turns off, but the entire display shuts down (which is usually a good thing). If you have your screen saver to kick in at 5 minutes, and your display set to sleep at 10 then that could be what you're experiencing - a 5 minute screen saver before the screen goes dark.

     

    If you don't want that, change the Display Sleep setting in System Preferences -> Energy Saver
