Q: problem with push notifications

During the last days I've been experiencing a strange issue with my Facebook push notifications on my Macbook running Yosemite

Some times ago, I settled my Facebook account in the internet accounts, and every time I received a message, a push notification appeared on my screen.

A couple of days ago, I changed my Facebook password, and then I updated the password on the account setting on my computer.

But since then, even if the Facebook account is connected to my macbook, I no longer get any push notification when I receive a message.

I tried disconnecting the account and setting it back again, but this didn't solve the problem.

I also had set a jabber account for chatting with my Facebook friend in the Messages app, and it doesn't work anymore too...

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Have you tried deleting the accounts and then adding them back?

I had the similar as well...I deactivated my Facebook account a week ago and reactivated 2 days later. However, since then I cannot receive any push notifications on my macbook. I have tried deleting and login the Facebook account many times but nothing work...

I'm having the EXACT SAME ISSUE. Just started recently and come to think of it I just updated my password for Facebook recently. I've been going crazy deleting and reactivating the Facebook OS X integration, deleted .plists, stopping services, everything to no avail!

Try using Keychain Access to check for Facebook passwords in your login keychain. You might find multiple entries, some still with the old password. (This is just a guess based on a similar problem I had when I changed the password on my primary email account.)

I checked and I actually found that my old passwords were still there in my keychain...
Did you delete the entries with old password? Or did you reset the whole keychain?
if so, did it work?

By any chance has anyone solved the problem? I bought my macbook last week and am not getting any notifications. Everything looks ok in the settings.
