Q: How do I get a Graphics card to work in an Xserve?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2008 Quad Core Xeon Xserve. However, my Mini-DVI adapter doesn't work reliably. I have a PCIe Graphics card from my 2006 Mac Pro that I'd rather use. It shows up under PCIe devices in the system report, but it won't display anything when I connect a monitor. Please help!

Well let's start off simple, did you find the driver? And did you check if you put it in a compatible PCIe slot that can sumplement its power needs? Also go into the displays config pane and plug in a dummy monitor and see if it will recognize the dummy display.

Edit: By dummy display I mean and old crappy display.
