Q: Screen force touch doesn't work.

I Purchased a  38mm  and 42mm watch for my girl friend and I.  Her's is the  38 mm size screen and her watches force touch doesent function at all.  We compared our watches right out of the box, so we know we are pressiing correctly.  The 42mm works, so we are able to compare Functionally.

We used the reset function to 'reboot, hers and it didn't help.  Her watch face works correctly otherwise as far as we can test it with the force touch not working.

Suggestions.?

Watch Sport 38mm, iOS 8.3

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store.

My watch did this too. Apple phone support won't be much use to you. They will take you through rebooting it and resetting it. I ultimately had to go to the apple store to the genius bar. They too were unable to do anything about it. They had to ship it to their repair depot to get it fixed. I got to play with my new watch for all of 20 minutes, then had to say goodbye.

So wouldn't be so bad if it was my watch and not my girlfriends!

Thanks expose for that information. I've made a appointment with

the genius bar for tomorrow, so I'll have some time to prepare girlfriend

to let go of her beloved watch,

Under 14 days I would exchange it for a new one!

    Shipping it out is wrong...

    My 2 cents

Yeah I wish it were that simple. Because supply is so constrained, they don't have any in stock to replace with. the geniuses were completely baffled and spent an hour on the phone trying to figure out how to get it fixed or replaced ASAP.

I am having the same problem with 38 mm watch sport also. I can activate force touch, but I have to press the screen very very hard. At first, I thought it was normal. However, when I played with the 42 mm watch of my friend, I realized that this kind of behavior is not normal. The force touch on the 42 mm watch is sensitive and easy to active. I called Apple phone support, they instructed me to reset and repair the watch. These processes did not help fixing the problem. Apple support then told me to go to a local Apple store to see whether they can fix it there. If not, I will need to send the watch for repair.

Sadly I'm reporting 42mm with similar problems.  My watch worked great out of the box but by the end of the first day it wasn't functioning quite right. The "force touch" was so sensitive that you couldn't make any selections.  I charged the watch over night and in the morning the force touch did not work at all.  I read the experiences y'all had and did the full reset prior to calling apple support.  After the reset not only did the force touch not work, but now I was stuck with the factory watch face instead of the one I had customized (the only way you can change it is by force touch).  I have a genius bar appointment in a week and I'm assuming I'll have to send it back in like the rest of you folks.  @ at least I'll get to show it off for a week.  Then another long month of waiting.

I have the same problem. After a day of use the touch force stopped working. I've done the reset and reconfigured but not resolved. Now I will wait for the clock to go on sale in Brazil to exchange

I managed to make the force touch function when the clock is charging the battery. At least it works.
