Q: I can't get ios7 on my ipod touch

It is the RAM not the A4 processor on the 4G that prevents updating to iOS 7. The iPhone 7 has the same A4 processor but 512 MB of RAM compared to 256 for the 4G iPod.

So I just want my twitter and other apps that are (Not capable o IOS7) why stop at 6.1.3 if your apps are 7 or over? come on

he is right. technology changes. i have a macbook 2008 cant get yoesmite. reason: hardware. no company can make their hardware upgrade inside the phone unless paying $$$$$ not even samsung does that. i do aggree apple should allow ios 7 for ipod touch, but the hardware cant handle it. im sorry

Hi, I was thinking the same thing and I went onto iTunes on my computer and I starting downloading apps onto my iPod from there, my iPod allowed it aswell! Have a go at it

As we all know Apple LOVE money and this is a evil way to make money. So your only choice is to get an updated device .

well,i have updated my ipod to ios 6.1.6 which is the latest for ipod 4g. but ipod touch 4g has 32 gb external memory so it should  have  more RAM which is riquired by the ios7 .iphone 4s has 16 gb memory and has more RAM than ipod 4g. this is very stupid thing apple has ever done.

The 32gB is storage capacity, not RAM.

TThink of it like this, RAM is your desktop & how much you can have "open" at the same time (don't actually know what the RAM is on iPods). The storage capacity is like a filing cabinet, so how many files or tunes you can store

On PCs you can increase the amount of RAM but it is not possible on small devices like iPods, iPhones or ipads

Not quite true. I am typing on a 2010 Dell with brand new Xubuntu. Apple and Windows - Intel plan the obsolesce to force users to upgrade.
