Apr 26, 2015 8:46 AM in response to rkaufmann87by rangervin,As suggested, shut down computer. Restarted, turned on printer, disconnected printer usb cable from mac, checked for updates (non-available). Reconnected printer usb cable. Went to mail and was able to print out your response. But the next email only printed the header from and to, no text within the email.
Next went to system preferences and clicked the minus button to remove printer and followed above procedure. Still no text printing out.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Apr 26, 2015 10:51 AM in response to rangervinby ManelitoDe'Oro,While Printer is connected Check for Updates for OS X. If no updates try the following.
You can try doing some basic resets.
Shutdown iMac
Disconnect printer from iMac
Reset SMC - Disconnect iMac from electrical socket and reconnect after 30 seconds
Reset PRAM - "As quickly as you can after pressing the power button" Hold down Command Option P and R until you hear the startup noise for the second time. Then release the keys.
After LOGIN Reconnect printer
****Test printer
If still not successful
Shutdown iMac
As quickly as you can after pressing the power button hold down the Shift key until you see the Apple Logo and then release the shift Key
You will be in safe mode. *****Screen will look a little funky but thats normal for Safe Mode*********
Test Printer
If still failing seek help from HP
Exit Safe Mode by restarting iMac

Apr 27, 2015 1:30 PM in response to rangervinby rangervin,Just to let everyone know, while I tried all of the suggestions, nothing worked. I was planning to contact my IP for their insight. I made one last attempt to print from email & internet and to my surprise, the printer is working fine.
Thanks to all for your help.
