Q: Fcpx 10.2 export changed the shape and position of my shape masks. Ideas?

Fcpx 10.2.  Upon export it changed the shape and position of my shape masks.   It also created "cordoroy" looking screens where some photos had been.  Looking for help.

Could you give some details, like the project properties, media properties, transformations, maybe a screen shot of the corduroy?

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the response.  My project is 1280x720 29.97 fps.  Here's a shot of the corduroy.  The first time I exported using the "export" choice.  I rebooted and exported again choosing "master" file.  The settings were the same on both- 1280x720, 29.97, H.264.  The corduroy went away the second time.  The masks are still off.  I'm using them throughout my project.  They are closer to center on both of the quicktime movie outputs than on my screen in the project.  I could send pics.

TThe corduroy areas were panoramic photographs, not video.

Pics would be helpful. That looks like a graphics card problem. Wonder if there's a thing with panorama scaling. These were made on an iPhone using it's Pano function or something like that? Are you animating it?

Any animation or transform functions on the mask images?

The "corduroy" photos were from my iPhone with animations.I.  Figured out the likely issue with the masks.  I needed to click the mask tool to "finish" the task.  The ones that had moved were still open/active.  My current issues are resolved.  Thanks for the thoughts.

I have had the same problem and been ******** about it.

    Solution:

Mark your shape mask in the inspector window

Go down to Control Points: "Convert shape to points"

Activate it and your shape is then converted into a "draw mask" and some how it will not reshape anymore.
