Did you ever figure this one out?  I had 205 out of 208 devices enroll properly, but 3 of them did not... "Device not accessible" is in the CSV file.  How can I get these devices in the DEP system?  They are actively used devices...

Did either of you figure this out?  I'm running into the same issue trying to get any of them in.

Nope - I haven't heard from the OP.  I have a dozen or so devices out of roughly 300+ devices that refuse to enroll.  The others work fine.

I sent an email to our Apple rep to find out.  If I hear anything I'll let you know.  I've tried 3 now for testing the program but haven't gotten any of them to enroll.

Our Apple rep said that typically this error occurs if all of your account numbers are not in your DEP portal.  I had to go up to the top right and add some of them for orders that weren't with our main account number.  I'm waiting until those numbers are verified until I can try it.

Not sure if this helps or not.

    Hi all.

If you are getting an 'device not accessible' error it is indeed because the ipad serials are not on your re-sellers portal.

I have today had the same issue on numerous ipads when trying to add them with serial numbers on the DEP portal.

Your apple re-seller will have to register the ipad serials on their side of the portal and you then should be able to add the ipads via the orders section of DEP.

I shall be testing this tomorrow so will post an update...:)

You best talk to your supplier.  Your supplier need to be enrolled in the dep program too.

I have the same issue trying to enroll two iPad 2s but they were purchased directly from Apple as far as I can tell.

Give apple a call.  It isn't enough to buy the ipads from apple.  You have to buy them in the correct way.

You have to buy them through Apple's Business Channel on your Business account. Just buying off the shelf from the Apple Store (including the generic online store) does not allow them to be enrolled in the DEP. You can still add them to your MDM that manages the DEP devices, but you will have to do that manually, and you won't have all the options that are available for a DEP purchased device.
