Q: Time Capsule continues to drop connection to internet

New Macbook pro and new time capsule with new modem will not stay connected to internet.  This is in Wifi mode only, any suggestions, Mac techs continue to check both items out and it appears to working correctly.  All Lights on all items remain in green status except for the airport utility that shows amber on the macbook pro only.  Once I click on it, it will be force into green but quickly drops the connection from the internet.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), with time capsule

    Yosemite is not reliable ..

Just check that it is not ghosting itself.. check if the share name keeps changing.. you will see it is incrementing each time it finds a new ghost so the name has (n) after it. This does no good.

The TC itself changing IP makes it harder for yosemite to keep up.

And some modems are a problem.

    So tell us some more.

What broadband with what modem router?? Actual make and model please.

How is the TC connected and in what mode??

when you say wifi mode I hope you mean clients of the TC .. not the TC connection to the main router or modem which should be ethernet.

Have you set IPv6 to link local only?? This can help.

The modem is ARRIS model TM802, the modem cable is connected into the the main port (the star circle) of the Airport Time Capsule router.  I set the Link Local only.  I don't see an (N) after the IP addresses? I am looking at the airport utility screen to watch it.  I will see if that makes a difference, Thank You
