May 3, 2015 5:47 AM in response to Demoby Evan Bregenzer,Usually when I plug my iPad in, a little screen comes up saying if I want to view the folders and pictures on it. That doesn't come up. If I open iTunes and plug it in, start and stop mobile device service comes up and I click yes, but nothing happens after.

May 3, 2015 7:03 AM in response to Evan Bregenzerby jimkraz,Evan try removing driver for iPad in Device Manager then restart PC, see if it will re-install driver, is your iTunes up to date, if not do so, or you may have to re-install iTunes too, remembering to restart after re-install. Jim

May 3, 2015 7:58 AM in response to Evan Bregenzerby jimkraz,You must do this while iPad is connected, look for it at USB, select this, first try update driver, if that does not work try uninstall and then restart, with iPad connected, it should then re-install driver. I am no expert but this should help. Jim

May 3, 2015 6:24 PM in response to Evan Bregenzerby Skydiver119,When this happens, go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Service and Apple Application Support.
If you want to clean up the cobwebs, restart your computer, then redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again.
What I think happens is, when iTunes updates it doesn't always update the driver. But it sees the old driver, thinks it's the right one and gets stuck in a logic loop. Uninstalling those programs removes all the drivers and forces a fresh start. -
May 3, 2015 7:22 PM in response to Evan Bregenzerby turingtest2,For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. There are some additional steps over and above uninstalling the components which may help ensure that the reinstallation is successful. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

May 5, 2015 5:14 PM in response to turingtest2by Evan Bregenzer,I Deleted everything but when I install iTunes, it still asks for Apple application support. What could this be cause by?
-
May 5, 2015 11:36 PM in response to Evan Bregenzerby turingtest2,I'm afraid I don't know why one or other component sometimes fails to install, only that it happens. Try the steps at Install missing components to add Apple Application Support. Often this will succeed when using the main installer hasn't, or, if not, you may get a useful error message which could give a clue as to what to try next.
