    Greetings Tommy from NY,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like the Apple TV will run then the light will blink and then restart. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

I am having this same issue on several Apple TV apps:  Netflix, ABC, FOX GO, etc.  I select a show, begin to watch, get to a commercial break, sometimes the commercials begin to play, then a commercial momentarily "locks up", then the Apple TV shuts off, the white light blinks 5 times, then Apple TV restarts.  This started out as an occasionally interrupt, but is now happening daily.

It mostly happens on apps with programmed ad insertions, however it does happen on Netflix.  It doesn't seem to happen when watching anything from streamed from the iTunes store or my personal downloaded library.

I have done two complete factory resets of the Apple TV.  Same results.

I have triple checked connection between my Apple TV, Apple Airport Extreme, and modem.  All at Excellent connectivity.

This is getting very frustrating.  We want to use the Apple TV for much more of our programming viewing but with the constant interrupts, we are finding Apple TV very unreliable.  There are several episodes on ABC that we've been unable to complete because it constantly restarts at the ads.

    Please advice.  THANKS!

iI am suffering the same problem as Razzdrop. I purchased two new ATV-4's. These were to replace two ATV-3's. Both the 3's and 4's worked perfectly for a day or two. Then came the most recent update for the 3's. The update included many new apps. I began subscribing to some of the new services and also adding some of these services to the new ATV-4's.

Now that all four of my ATV's are populated with the apps that I wanted, and subscription information is entered, it is difficult to watch any of the four. When starting to watch Netflix on any of the ATV's, they will restart by themselves several times before stableizing and allowing me to watch as many as several hours of uninterrupted movies.

A Test using a computer to receive Netflix works great and experiences no restarts or other problems.

As anyone knows, it takes a lot of time to fully setup an ATV, and I have now re-setup these 4 machines several times within the past several days. These machines are all connected to my network using ethernet. The network is connected to AT&T through a 50mb DSL connection. There are 37 other connected devices on this network, all connected using DHCP, assigning ip addresses automatically. No other problems have shown up on the network..

I have made sure that all the software on all the machines are up to date. I am completely baffled and out of ideas what to do next.
